Miller Law Firm recently represented a person who was sadly killed in an automobile accident on I-240 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Our law firm represented the Estate of the deceased and only heir in a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit against the defendant, a drunken driver. The deceased was driving her automobile when it stalled on the interstate. Within a few minutes after pulling over in the emergency lane she was struck from behind by a drunken driver and received severe personal injuries form this automobile accident. The deceased lived for a very short amount of time and eventually died from the severe personal injuries she suffered as a direct result of the automobile accident. She was alive at the scene of the automobile accident and had to be cut out of the car by emergency workers at the scene and was attended by paramedics and transported to the Regional Medical Center trauma center. The deceased was survived by her only daughter of six months and mother. The drunken driver was highly intoxicated and was arrested at the scene of the automobile accident and was charged with DUI and reckless driving. His blood alcohol level was over the legal limit in Tennessee. He was later charged with vehicular homicide.
